Israel has ordered soldiers to prepare for a full closure of the West Bank following a deadly shooting in the occupied territory.
According to NPR, Israeli soldiers shot and killed two men near Hebron. The Israeli military said the men had launched an attack, but that characterization is not independently corroborated in the supplied reports.
NPR also reported that at least five people were injured, including some critically. The available reports do not identify the men or those who were injured.
The order concerns preparations for a full West Bank closure. The supplied reports do not establish how long the closure would last or provide further implementation details.
