An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome was diverted to Évreux-Fauville Air Base in France after a bomb alert or threat, according to multiple reports.

The Times of India identified the aircraft as an Aer Lingus Airbus A320 and reported that it was carrying 151 passengers and six crew members. The report said the aircraft landed safely and that everyone aboard was reported safe.

Bomb-disposal teams were called to inspect the aircraft, the Times of India reported. La Repubblica said the French Prime Minister’s Office was monitoring the situation, while the Times of India, citing Reuters, said the office confirmed the diversion.

The diversion was part of a wider set of bomb alerts affecting European flights. La Repubblica and ANSA both reported alerts involving flights bound for Rome, as well as a flight departing from Malpensa. Their accounts differed over the overall number of affected flights, and no single total is asserted here.

The reports do not establish whether an explosive device was found, whether the threat was credible or what the final inspection result was. Those questions remain unresolved in the accounts reviewed.
